Together, our community can nurture and expand safe spaces for new moms.
We currently run two weekly groups for new moms, a bi-weekly call and group for moms with toddlers. In 2024 we supported over 200 moms at these groups and engaged over 2000 moms and their little ones throughout all of our programming. Our hope in 2025 is that we can sustain and expand this programming. You can have a direct impact on this by helping championing this work through fundraising and awareness.
There are many ways to support the work we do.

I learned that it’s okay to be scared and overwhelmed as a first time mom. It is reassuring to know that others do go through it when you feel you are alone. I have been able to better control anxiety and guilt. I gained confidence around motherhood, knowledge, and friendship.
New MomI was very scared of leaving the house for months after giving birth. It has been, and still is, very difficult to make the decision and effort to leave the house with or without baby. I know if I sign up for New Mom Group then Megan will have a floor seat for me. No matter how hard it is to go, and even when I know I’ll be late, I know I’ll have some relief of my anxiety and fears after attending. It is always a pleasure to be there, and gives me the confidence I need to get out and enjoy the outside world with baby.

Connected Nest’s Empowering Moms program provides weekly group for new moms and babies to come gather and connect and find solidarity in the challenges and celebration in the triumphs. Your support helps us make more space for more moms.
Prior to discovering Empowering Moms, I was an extremely anxious first-time mom. It was a good day if I got to shower and if I only cried once or twice that day. I felt isolated, overwhelmed, and thought I was making every possible mistake when it came to motherhood. After even just my first group session, I felt less alone. I realized motherhood is something that you cannot go through without support. Hearing other moms’ struggles helped me to understand that I wasn’t doing everything wrong—babies are just tricky (especially your first)!!
