Megan Miller Shane
Executive Director, Empowering Moms Program Faciliator
Megan is a mom of three and a mental health and art therapist. She founded Connected Nest in 2023 and created Empowering Moms in 2019. Her passion is facilitating new mom groups and teaching parenting classes so that more people understand the goal isn't perfection, it's growth.

Alicia Leggett
Infertility Support Program Manager
Alicia is a mom after an infertility journey, a Licensed Professional Counselor, a Certified Infant Mental Health Professional, and a Certified Birth Doula CD(Dona). She has a passion for helping women in all stages of their family building journey.
Kristen Clarke
Outreach Coordinator
Kristen is a mom and community builder who loves bringing people together for a good cause. She believes small acts of kindness can create a big impact! She is passionate about helping families feel included and believes strong communities are built through connection, welcoming spaces, and practical support. Her previous career experience spanned fields in children's publishing, education, and compliance, but ultimately decided the corporate route was not for her and is now happy to spend her time in the nonprofit world.
Jordan Valley
Group Facilitator
Jordan is a mom of two and a Licensed Social Worker providing psychotherapy in the Greater Pittsburgh area. She is passionate about infertility support, postpartum and maternal mental health.
Shannon Galligan-Steirl
Group Facilitator
Shannon is a mom of two, an early childhood educator and a performing artist. She has a dual masters in general and special early childhood education and has been a singer/actress since the age of three. She has been in the care of children under 12 since she was that age. She believes in magic, music and make believe. She is the director and teacher for Music Together with Shannon in Zelienople, PA.
