As this year comes to a close, I keep coming back to one simple truth: Connected Nest exists because people chose to show up again and again in small, meaningful ways.
Some of you showed up by sitting in circles, listening, holding space, and reminding those facing infertility or new moms that they weren’t alone in moments that felt heavy, confusing, or overwhelming. That kind of presence doesn’t always get named, but it matters deeply. We see its impact in the confidence that grows, the connections that last, and the messages that come in long after a group ends.
Some of you showed up by giving financially. Those gifts kept our programs running, our communication tools accessible, and our ability to reach the community consistent: especially for those whose lives feels anything but consistent. Whether it was a one-time gift or steady monthly support, it made very real support possible for very real families.
Others showed up by sharing posts, talking about Connected Nest with friends, inviting someone new, or opening a door we couldn’t open on our own. Those quiet acts of advocacy are often how participants find us in the first place, usually right when they need it most.
And many of you showed up as partners through volunteering, collaborating, brainstorming, offering space, resources, expertise, or encouragement. You are helping us build something stronger together than any one organization or person could alone. It is not taken for granted and is so appreciated.
As we head into a new year, the need for connection hasn’t disappeared. There are still many on the journey to and through parenthood that are looking for community. There are still families navigating big transitions without enough support. And we’re continuing this work with the same belief that’s always guided us: support works best when it’s human, consistent, and shared.
Thank you for being part of this community.
Thank you for trusting this work.
Thank you for helping build a nest that holds people through some of their most vulnerable seasons.
With so much gratitude,
Megan Shane

P.S. If you’re looking for a way to step into 2026 whether through monthly giving, mentoring, volunteering, or simply staying connected there’s a place for you here. Every form of support matters.
